I love Hangul (the Korean alphabet). It is the most logical system of writing I’ve ever found, and this excellently clear chart shows why.

Finally I’ve had my keyboard delivered. So that would be a month late and a step closer to my becoming a grumpy old man.
Like a particularly complex stochastic cycle the random promises of Expansys.com role on. One day the order will be ready in 5 days, a day later it’s 8.
It would be so nice if someone could explain why this is.
Remarkable! This woman is a living test of the right to freedom of speech. But I’d rather have a moron like this free to vomit cretinous shit into my ear than live in world where we could silence her for being small and stupid.
How touching, how brave, how typical that people are placed in danger by bosses that don’t care. So typical that the governed are better than they are expected to be and that the governors are worse than they are required to be.

I attempted to buy a Keypad Dock for my Asus Transformer Prime (a lovely machine). I placed an order with Expansys.com, who offered a delivery estimate of 29 days on the 26th of March (indicated by the green line on the infographic).
The green line demonstrates a notional linear relationship between delivery time and the forward progress of time; with the delivery date getting closer for each day that passes.
At no time has Expansys ever sent me an update on the delivery date, but they have given me dates when contacted, which were interestingly at odds with their own online sources.
On the 19th of April they promised to send the order out on the 1st of May (the flat red line showing the delivery date slipping by a week on one day).
On the 2nd of May they revised the date to the 8th of May.
On the 4th of May the online information showed the dispatch date on the 13th of May.
On the 5th of May the date became the 14th of May.
The 6th saw the date 9 days in the future (again).
Today (the 7th) shows the date as still 9 days away.
I’m running out of grid squares.

I am depressed. The governments of the world are involved in post-facto attempts to legalise universal surveillance of their own citizens at the same time they unsuccessfully try to obscure their own illigalities: in the U. S. the torture, kidnapping and illegal detention of terrorists;* in the UK the manifestly improper symbiosis of media, government and law enforcement (you might say corrupt, but I couldn’t comment). A set of events that can’t really be contested,** but which seem to bother the anaesthetised. public not one bit.
What will it take to stop people watching The Voice and make them cast the Murdoch crew on the waste dump of history? How can these people be trusted to be the moral guardians of anything?
